Description
Penstrep 20/25 is a sterile injectable solution combining Procaine Penicillin G (200,000 IU/ml) and Dihydrostreptomycin Sulfate (250 mg/ml). This combination provides a broad-spectrum antimicrobial effect against various bacterial pathogens in livestock, including cattle, horses, pigs, calves, sheep, and goats.
Indications:

Respiratory Infections: Effective against pathogens like Pasteurella spp. causing pneumonia.

Uterine Infections: Treats metritis in cattle and other livestock.

Alimentary Tract Infections: Addresses gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible bacteria.

Mastitis: Manages udder infections in dairy animals.

Osteomyelitis: Treats bone infections resulting from bacterial invasion.

Peritonitis: Effective against abdominal cavity infections.

Dosage & Administration:

Cattle and Horses: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight, administered intramuscularly once daily for 3–4 days.

Calves, Sheep, Goats, and Pigs: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight, administered intramuscularly once daily for 3–4 days.

Administration Site: Do not administer more than 20 ml per injection site in cattle and horses, 10 ml in pigs, and 5 ml in calves, sheep, and goats.

Preparation: Shake well before use.
Withdrawal Periods:

Meat: 10 days post-treatment.

Milk: 3 days post-treatment.

Hypersensitivity: Avoid use in animals with known allergies to penicillins, procaine, or dihydrostreptomycin.
