Description
Sun Atrazine 500 SC is a selective, systemic herbicide formulated as a suspension concentrate containing 500 g/L of atrazine. It is specially designed for pre-emergence and early post-emergence control of a wide range of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds, primarily in maize (corn), sorghum, and sugarcane cultivation.
Atrazine acts by inhibiting photosynthesis in susceptible plants, leading to effective and long-lasting weed suppression. When applied before weed germination or at early growth stages, it reduces weed competition, allowing crops to establish more vigorously and achieve higher yields.
Target Weeds:
-
Annual grasses
-
Broadleaf weeds
Application Crops:
-
Maize (corn)
-
Sorghum
-
Sugarcane
Key Features and Benefits:
-
Selective action: Safe for targeted crops when used as directed.
-
Pre- and post-emergence control: Effective both before and shortly after weed emergence.
-
Long residual activity: Sustains weed control during critical early crop growth stages.
-
Easy application: Suspension concentrate (SC) formulation for uniform mixing and smooth spraying.
-
Enhanced crop yield: By reducing early weed competition.
Application Rate:
-
2–3 liters per hectare, depending on soil type, weed pressure, and environmental conditions.
-
Use sufficient water volume (200–400 L/ha) to ensure thorough and even coverage.
Usage Instructions:
-
Apply on moist soil for best performance.
-
Ensure even spray coverage using a properly calibrated sprayer.
-
Avoid spraying if heavy rainfall is expected immediately after application to prevent product runoff.
-
Shake container well before use.
Precautions:
-
Do not apply near water sources or sensitive crops.
-
Avoid spray drift onto non-target plants.
-
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and masks during handling and application.
-
Follow label instructions strictly to ensure safe and effective use.
Storage:
