Description

Oxytetravet Aerosol is a topical spray containing Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride (5 gm per container). It is designed for the treatment and control of various skin infections in livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, and other animal species. The product effectively addresses conditions such as foot rot, digital dermatitis, udder and teat infections, lip infections, skin burns, post-surgical infections, and excoriations caused by Oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms.

Dosage & Administration:

• Preparation: Shake the aerosol can well before use.

• Application:

  • Clean the affected area by removing dead tissue, dried secretions, and debris.

  • Hold the can approximately 15–20 cm (6–8 inches) from the affected area.

  • Spray the product onto the affected area for 1–2 seconds, ensuring even coverage.

  • Repeat the application every 12 hours until complete recovery is achieved.

• Note: Consult a veterinary officer for severe or persistent cases.

Contraindications:

• For external use only.

• Use only in well-ventilated areas.

• Avoid spraying in or near the eyes.

• Operators should wear impervious rubber gloves during application.

• Wash hands and any exposed skin immediately after use.

• Individuals with known hypersensitivity to Oxytetracycline should avoid contact with this product.

Withdrawal Time:

• Meat: Nil (zero withdrawal period).

• Milk: Nil (zero withdrawal period).

Storage:

• Store below 25°C (77°F).

• Keep the container tightly closed.

• Protect from direct sunlight.
