Description

Maxi-Trim is an injectable antibiotic containing a combination of sulfamethoxazole (200 mg/mL) and trimethoprim (40 mg/mL). This synergistic combination enhances the antimicrobial efficacy, making it effective against a wide range of bacterial pathogens in livestock.

Indications:

Cattle, Sheep, and Pigs: Treatment of sulphonamide-sensitive bacterial infections, including those of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, as well as wound infections and foot rot.

Dosage/Application:

Administration Route: Intramuscular injection.​

Dosage Rate: 1 mL per 15 kg of body weight daily for 5 days. For severe infections, the dose can be increased to 1.5 mL per 15 kg of body weight.

Withdrawal Periods:

Meat: 5 days.​

Milk: 3 days.​

Precautions:

Storage: Store at or below 25 °C. Protect from sunlight.​

Contraindications: Do not use in animals with liver disease or known sulpha drug sensitivity.​

Adverse Reactions: May cause swelling at the site of injection.​
