Description

Disulfox L.A. is a long-acting injectable antibiotic formulated for use in livestock, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, calves, lambs, and horses. It contains Sodium Sulfadimethoxine 40% m/v, a sulfonamide antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of bacterial infections.​

Indications:

• Cattle, Sheep, and Goats: Treatment of foot rot, pneumonia, navel ill, and joint ill.​

• Calves and Lambs: Management of coccidiosis and bacterial scours.​

• Horses: Treatment of pneumonia, strangles, navel ill, and joint ill.​

• Pigs: Treatment of pneumonia and joint ill.​

Dosage & Administration:

• Initial Dose: 1 to 2 ml per 10 kg body weight.​

• Maintenance Dose: 0.5 to 1 ml per 10 kg body weight.​

• Route: Administer via subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.​

• Duration: Do not treat for more than 4 consecutive days.​

• Note: Massage the injection site to enhance absorption and minimize swelling. When administering intravenously, inject very slowly and monitor for any signs of discomfort.​

Withdrawal Periods:

• Meat: Do not slaughter animals for human consumption within 7 days of the last treatment.​

• Milk: Milk from treated cows must not be used for human consumption within 48 hours of the last treatment.​

Precautions:

• Ensure animals have free access to ample drinking water during treatment and for at least two days after the last treatment.​

• Store in a cool, dark place.​

• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons, and animals.​

• Dispose of empty containers according to local waste disposal regulations and do not reuse for any other purpose.​
