Description

Amprocox is a veterinary anticoccidial preparation combining Amprolium Hydrochloride (200 mg/g) and Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium (150 mg/g), complemented by essential vitamins A and K3. This combination effectively targets coccidiosis in livestock and poultry, enhancing production performance and farm profitability.

Active Ingredients:

  • Amprolium Hydrochloride: Inhibits thiamine uptake by Eimeria spp., starving the parasites and preventing their proliferation.

  • Sulfaquinoxaline Sodium: Exhibits bacteriostatic properties against various Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, also providing coccidiostatic effects.

  • Vitamin A (15,000 IU/g): Essential for vision, skin integrity, and mucosal health.

  • Vitamin K3 (5 mg/g): Plays a crucial role in blood coagulation processes.

Indications:

  • Livestock: Effective in treating and preventing coccidiosis caused by Eimeria species in calves, sheep, and goats.

  • Poultry: Controls avian coccidiosis in chickens and turkeys.

Dosage:

  • Calves, Sheep, and Goats:

    • Preventive: 1 g per 50–100 kg body weight via drinking water or milk for 21 days.

    • Curative: 5 g per 25–50 kg body weight via drinking water or milk for 5 days.

  • Poultry:

    • 20 g per 20–40 liters of drinking water for 5–7 days.

Note: For pre-ruminant calves, lambs, and kids only.

Withdrawal Times:

  • Meat: 14 days for calves, sheep, goats, and poultry.

  • Eggs: Not for use in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.

Contraindications:

  • Hypersensitivity to Amprolium, Sulfaquinoxaline, or any component of the formulation.

  • Other potential effects include crystalluria, anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.
