Job Description: Retail Manager:

We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our agricultural retail stores and outlets. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient organization of store operations, expansions, inventory, and the overall smooth running of our Agro Stores to optimize sales and minimize costs.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the management team to pinpoint prospective new branch locations, and if required, undertake travel to formulate comprehensive business plans for expansion.
• Plan and provide leadership and direction to team members by assigning roles and responsibilities.
• Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions, track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Streamline and optimize operational processes, from inventory management to store maintenance to maximize efficiency and reduce costs across all branches.
• Collaborate with sales, accounts, and other relevant departments for inventory planning and forecasting.
  Drive sales growth and profitability by implementing effective merchandising strategies, promotional campaigns, and pricing strategies while monitoring financial KPIs.
• Take charge of our multiple retail locations, ensuring they meet and exceed performance targets in sales and operational efficiency.
  Ensures stores are properly branded and goods are well arranged at the shop.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track stock movement, and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained by taking ownership of warehouses.
  Generate regular reports on inventory, order status, product sales and other warehouse performance metrics and continuously assess and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and on-time deliveries and strategically plan and organize the layout of the warehouse to maximize storage capacity and efficiency.
• Partner with the recruiting team to recruit; train, and manage a dedicated team of branch managers and sales associates, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure a high level of customer experience for in-store service.
• Monitor stock levels and purchases to ensure alignment with budget.
• Ensure a standard level of branding and stock organization across all retail outlets.
• Develop and implement inventory strategies to meet customer demand while minimizing holding costs.
• Leverage inventory management software and other relevant tools to streamline processes and enhance accuracy
• Ensure the agrostore meets all legal, health and safety compliance specific to agricultural practices.
• Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective and timely procurement of products.
• Monitor and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues that may affect the supply chain.
• Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork within the team

Requirements:

• Proven experience in inventory management or in a retail industry, preferably in the agricultural sector.
• Knowledge of retail management best practices, with a focus on agricultural products.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Commercial awareness in the agricultural industry.
• Analytical mindset with familiarity with data analysis principles related to agribusiness.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory management software (e.g., MS RMS).
• BSc/BA in Business administration, Agricultural sciences, Agric Economics or a relevant field.
• Ability to work under pressure with or without supervision.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Must be available to start work immediately.
• A great passion for Agriculture.
