HR Manager

Job Summary

As an HR Manager, you will develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives, oversee the full recruitment and selection process, and manage employee training and development programs.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grant Management       
    • Grant Research: Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities.
    • Grant Writing: Develop and write grant proposals to secure funding.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and address any compliance risks.
    • Grant Process Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the grant process to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

 

  • Strategic HR Planning:
    • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
    • Conduct workforce planning and analysis to identify future talent needs.
    • Develop and maintain an employee handbook and other HR policies and procedures.
  • Talent Acquisition:
    • Oversee the full recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
    • Develop and implement employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
    • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards.
  • Employee Onboarding and Development:
    • Develop and deliver effective onboarding programs for new hires.
    • Manage employee training and development programs, including professional development opportunities, mentoring, and succession planning.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues promptly and effectively.
    • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and grievances.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
    • Conduct salary surveys and ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • HR Operations:
    • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws.
    • Manage employee data in HRIS systems.
    • Prepare and submit required HR reports.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and address any compliance risks.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as an HR Manager or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in all aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees and managers.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience working in the agricultural or a similar industry.
