Role Overview – Accountant:
The potential candidate must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the precise field. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Ability to work with little or no supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to the manager.
The Accountant responsibilities Include:
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process;
- Audit financial transactions and resolving discrepancies;
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status;
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options;
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results;
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process;
- Plan, assign, and review staff’s work as well as managing colleagues;
- Prepare financial statements and provide budget according to schedule;
- Communicate with Management on work status and client issues that arise;
- Ensure timely bank payments and Reconcile accounts payable and receivable;
- Preparing and reporting financial data on monthly, quarterly and yearly bases;
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information;
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary;
- Comply with financial policies, regulations, statutory obligations and providing tax planning services;
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information;
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
- Initiate, Review and maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures;
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and generally accepted accounting procedures;
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other reports periodically.
Skills, Attributes and Experience:

- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
- Awareness of business trends
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- An appreciable working experience in a similar role.
- Ability to work under pressure with or without supervision.
- Must be available to start work immediately.
- Willingness to work during odd hours sometimes.
