Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager oversees and directs all sales activities within the assigned region, ensuring alignment with corporate sales objectives and business strategies. This role involves leading and mentoring zonal sales leads and their teams, developing comprehensive regional sales plans, fostering key customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The Regional Sales Manager acts as a vital link between senior management and field operations, ensuring effective execution of sales initiatives and market penetration.
Principales responsabilités
• Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with overall company goals to maximize revenue and market share.
Analyse regional market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Team Management and Development
Lead, coach, and support zonal sales leads and their teams to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, distributors, agro-dealers, and industry stakeholders within the regions.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and resolution of issues.
• Market Expansion and Business Development
Identify and pursue new market segments and business opportunities within the regions.
Coordinate with marketing and product teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, and trade events.
• Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Monitor regional sales performance against targets, analyse sales data, and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
Implement corrective actions and strategic adjustments based on performance insights.
• Budgeting and Resource Allocation
Manage regional sales budgets and allocate resources efficiently to optimize sales activities and profitability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with supply chain, marketing, finance, and product development teams to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Provide market feedback and insights to influence product development and business strategies.
Compliance and Administration
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Manage budgets and expenses related to sales activities within the zone.
Qualifications et compétences
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within agricultural inputs, retail, or FMCG sectors.
• Proven track record of leading sales teams and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in data analysis, sales forecasting, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel extensively within the region.
