Prodose Orange is a comprehensive dewormer formulated for sheep and goats, effectively targeting a broad spectrum of internal and external parasites. It combines two active ingredients—Albendazole and Closantel—to provide both immediate and residual protection against various worms and flukes. ​

Key Features:

• Active Ingredients:

  • Albendazole (1.90% m/v): A benzimidazole compound that disrupts the energy metabolism of parasites, leading to their elimination.​

  • Closantel (3.94% m/v): A salicylanilide that impairs the nervous system of parasites, ensuring effective control.​

• Targeted Parasites:

  • Nasal Worms: Controls all developmental stages of nasal bots.​

  • Roundworms: Effective against wireworm, brown stomachworm, bankruptworm, long-necked bankruptworm, hookworm, nodular worm, and large-mouthed bowelworm.​

  • Liver Flukes: Aids in controlling liver fluke and giant liver fluke.​

  • Milk Tapeworms (Moniezia spp.): Provides class 1 efficacy, being 100% effective in 80% of treated animals.​

• Residual Protection: Offers extended protection against reinfestation of wireworm and hookworm, with persistency ranging from 2 to 5 weeks depending on the parasite.​

• Ovicidal Activity: Prevents the hatching of roundworm eggs present at the time of dosing.​

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage: Administer 2 ml of Prodose Orange per 10 kg of body weight. For example:​

  • 10 kg: 2 ml​

  • 20 kg: 4 ml​

  • 30 kg: 6 ml​

  • 40 kg: 8 ml​

  • 50 kg: 10 ml​

  • 60 kg: 12 ml​

• Administration: Administer orally as a single dose. Shake well before use.​

Warnings and Precautions:

• Milk Production: Do not use in milk goats whose milk is intended for human consumption.​

• Slaughter Interval: Allow a 30-day withdrawal period between the last dosing and slaughter for human consumption.​

• Treatment Frequency: Do not repeat treatments more frequently than every 5 weeks.​

• Pulpy Kidney Disease: Ensure animals are immunized against pulpy kidney disease before drenching.​

• Storage: Store at room temperature below 25°C.​
